Shared Memories From Charlotte at the Service

It happened so fast. He could not stay another day to love and laugh, to work and play. We can still hear the clack of the pool balls on the pool table. Ray loved to ride his bike, pedaling from Toronto to Niagara Falls to support Cancer Research or even just to work and back. We'll remember Ray when we stand at the ocean's shores or when we feel the warm sunshine on our faces. One of his favorite places was on a sandy beach. Ray would not want us to grieve so long because those we love don't go away, but they walk beside us everyday. So, we must live one day at a time with the love and laughter of family together on the ball field or having a BBQ. We must listen with our hearts to hear Poppa's love around us when all that is left is love and memories. We can turn to each other for long hugs and remember Poppa everyday. We know Poppa will keep a place for each of us until we see him again in heaven.
