The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Peter Hartill can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Peter and Marion were wonderful next-door neighbours to us for thirteen years on Kingsway Court in Belleville! Peter may have had reservations when we moved in with three children under five, and it soon became apparent that we were expecting #4! However, he had a soft heart and he kept an open mind! We all admired and respected his beautiful garden, which was a true labour of love. It was an honour to us when he started transplanting plants into our garden, beginning with hens and chickens and moving on to a lovely established Potentilla, as well as others. During the summer of 2012 he transplanted a large plant into one of our flower beds, I still remember him squatting on the ground like a thirty year old! Peter and Marion were key in establishing the Kingsway Court Street party, which I believe continues to this day, and I think began as a celebration of Peter’s birthday! You are in our thoughts and prayers Marion. Ric, Janet, and family
