Obituary for Paul Douglas Kibbler

Kibbler, Paul Douglas

Paul passed away peacefully, and surrounded by love, at his home in Breslau on May 10, 2021 at the age of 68, just two days before his 69th birthday.

Dearly beloved teenage sweetheart, husband and partner of Sherry (Preiss) for nearly 50 years. Devoted father of Russ (Lisa Hynds) and Laura (Ben) MacPherson. Precious memories are left with his grandsons; Hunter, Gage, Logan and Sawyer. He is survived by his brothers Brian and Scott (Nancy Duff) and sister-in-law Sue (Doug) Brubacher.

He retired from Bell Canada after thirty years of service, allowing him to start early retirement at the age of 52. Wood working, lawn and home maintenance became fun at his new rural home. He loved this new lifestyle.

Paul will be remembered for his larger than life personality that was able to captivate a room with his deep voice and animated story telling. His goal was always to make people laugh, at his expense or theirs. With his full head of silver hair, it was always easy to pick him out of a crowd.

Paul’s love of the outdoors enriched his life with hunting, trapping, fishing and acquiring a legacy of never ending tales of adventures and misadventures with his hunting crew. He fulfilled his lifetime dream of taking numerous cross country motorcycle trips on his Harley with family and friends. He had great times playing slo-pitch where he always came home with a funny story.

Paul’s family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467.
