The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Paul Bitzer can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: Mr. Bitzer was my French teacher in Peterborough. He was a kind man, and he was interested in his students. He helped me get ahead in life. Thank you, Mr. Bitzer.

Condolence: Dear Barbara, yes, & Paul,

It has been far too long since I have seen either of you, not just because of COVID-19 but also because my Parkinsons limits my going here & there! But this changes not a whit the impact you both have had on my faith pilgrimage.Ever since my arrival to teach at WLS (1975) both of you have welcomed me into and modeled for me Micah's message to "do justice, love mercy & walk humbly with God (Micah 6:8)." So, Paul, I offer to you these words across the Jordan--"thank you" for your gentle spirit, as well as your stiffening back when the power of evil lurked across our land. Until that day when God wipes all teas from our eyes, I weep for your loss.

MUCH LOVE & AFFECTION,
Oz

Condolence: Mr. Bitzer was my French teacher in grade 11 in Peterborough. Later when I moved to Kitchener I would occasionally see him walking in downtown. He always remembered me (amazingly). I think he ran for city council shortly after that. Just wanted the family to know I am having good thoughts about him. Sorry for your loss.

I am sad to hear of the death of Paul... father, husband, dedicated friend to many including the church community. May he rest in peace after a life well-lived. Healing prayers are with your family at this time.
