The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Orville Mader can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

This man my fathers friend I grew up with knowing was the kindest, friendliest neighbour friends a kid could only ask to grow up with. He would hide large bags of potatoe chips and pop in the rafters outside the rec room for kids to enjoy the next day. I only have fond memories of the street I was lucky enough to grow up on, and life long kids friends I know today. RIP....My Hogan’s Hero. Orville Mader my favourite. We drank beer at Mixies on Thursdays when I didn't play golf in summer. He told stories of being a WW2 pilot who got shot down and survived because he jumped out before the crash into a hay field. That's why he suffered from hay fever in summer! 😂
