Obituary for Nathan Eli John

John, Nathan Eli

It is with great sadness we announce that Nathan passed away unexpectedly, as a result of a motor vehicle accident on Sunday August 16, 2020 at the age of 20. Beloved son of Patricia and Allen John. Cherished brother of Alex.

Our extraordinary son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend was unfailingly thoughtful, conscientious and kind. Nathan's genuine enthusiasm was contagious and inspiring. His innovative mind was always thinking of ways to work within his community, seeking new information and brimming with ideas. Nathan loved the roar of a good engine and had an appreciation for classic cars. This led him to becoming a part of a larger network of automobile enthusiasts and sharing this passion through his photography.

Nathan's vibrancy and joy were evident in every conversation and activity he participated in.

You could find Nathan at car meet-ups, on a starting block at a swim meet or mentoring students involved in the competitive mock trial program.

Nathan, a graduate of Bluevale Collegiate Institute, was pursuing a degree in Communications Studies at Wilfred Laurier University and was well loved by fellow students and professors.
He always found time to connect with his brother, enjoying and helping his brother develop his music. They were always laughing together.

Nathan's impact on others was clearly one of deep connections and authenticity. He could be counted on to be present in the moment and available to help anyone who needed support or a shoulder to lean on. Nathan uplifted others and shared of himself freely and humbly. His smile outshone the sun, and continues to shine brightly forever in our hearts.
