Weldon, Murray R (January 9, 1944 - January 28, 2021)
Passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on January 28th.
He is predeceased by his parents Beatrice and Eugene Weldon of New Brunswick.
Murray will be deeply missed by his wife Dianne and step-children Michelle (Kevin) and David (Michelle) of Kitchener, his sister Shirley Trites and brothers Cecile (Linda) and Ronnie all of New Brunswick. Murray was a cherished brother-in-law to Joyce Jamieson, Art (Julie) Jamieson, Carol Csuntul, Robert Jamieson and Glenn Jamieson. Murray will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his dear mother-in-law Irene Jamieson (2020), sister-in-law Gina Jamieson (2021), brother-in-law Peter Csuntul (2015) and brother-in-law Art Kenemy (2018).
Murray was raised in New Brunswick and relocated to Ontario after serving in the army. He loved sports and was an original member of the K-W Oldtimers Hockey Club with life long friend Carl. He coached minor hockey for 29 years and volunteered as a Big Brother. He was a proud member of the Canadian Legion.
Murray had a big heart and enjoyed giving back to the community. After his retirement he became known as the ' Butler of Nyberg St' voluntarily serving his neighbours by tending to their yards in the summer and removing the snow in the winter without being asked.
Cremation has taken place and with current restrictions a celebration of life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to the Grand River Hospital Foundation - Cancer Center or K-W Humane Society would be appreciated (cards available at the Henry Walser Funeral Home).
The family would like to thank the first responders and officers Cole and Kroetsch for their support during this time. Visit www.henrywalser.com to view Murray's memorial.
