Good Mornings

When I was a teenager my mom was experiencing mental health issues so I went to live with grandma and grandpa. My fondest memory is that most mornings I would eat cereal or porridge but on some mornings grandma would make me bacon for breakfast. I especially loved these mornings because, well, bacon, but also because it was her way of supporting me and showing her love during a difficult time in my life. I love her and will miss her dearly.
