It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Morris Poloz, age 89. Morris was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, as well as a loyal Maple Leafs fan.
Morris was the cherished husband of Ellen for 43 years until her passing in 2006. He found companionship in Judy Klassen, who shared Morris's enthusiasm for hockey and baseball.
He was the beloved father of Paul Poloz (Adriana), Lianne Poloz (Bruce McLellan), Christine Nicholson (Scott), and Greg Poloz. Morris will be forever cherished by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Courtney (Taylor), Cassidy, Bianca, Brayden, Grayson, Everleigh, and Hudson.
He was a dear brother to Mary Babcock (the late Stew) and a brother-in-law to William McDonald (Sheila). Morris was also a loving uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.
Morris will be deeply missed by his extended family and friends.
Morris' family express their deep gratitude to the 5th-floor nursing staff, Dr. Claire Harlick, and the entire team at St. Mary's Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion.
Please join us in commemorating Morris's life on Saturday, March 9, 2024. Visitation will take place from 9:30 a.m to 10:15 a.m, followed by the memorial service at 10:30 a.m at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A reception will follow the service. All are welcome to the Interment at Williamsburg Cemetery, 1541 Fischer Hallman Road, Kitchener, following the reception.
