Passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2019 four days past his 74th birthday. Mike raced Standardbred horses his whole life until a stroke forced him to retire 6 years ago. Mike raced at all the major racetracks and wintered many years at the Buffalo/Batavia. Copper Penny Tom, Live Ticket, Auntie Jean, Miss Sandy Pat and Artistic Topaz are just a few of his many performers. At times his stable would surpass 60 head. He was a winner of over 1500 driving wins and over $3 million in earnings. He is survived by his mother Clara, sister Sandra Fiscus (Bill), sister Debra Holding (John), nephew Dan Clemmer and three great-nephews, Brent, Eric and Ryan. According to his wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service. Arrangements entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home (519) 749-8467.
