Obituary for Michael Floyd Beckford

Michael Floyd Beckford, also loving known as Mikey, 54, of Kitchener, ON, passed away on March 22, 2020, due to a Heart Attack. He left this world surrounded by family.


God took him home, it was his will, but in our hearts we love him still.


Mikey was born in Kingston, Jamaica on December 14, 1965. Throughout his life Mikey was surrounded by love, laughter and a large family. Mikey will be fondly remember for always being the leader, the first person to help, the one to make you laugh and the last to leave. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile and his kind and compassionate spirit. Though his physical presence will be missed his impact and soul will remain with us.


Mikey is survived by his parents Iona Moodie and Rudolph Beckford, significant other Phillipia DePeazer brothers and sisters Valmore, Mark, Kay, Philbert (Jr), Gordon and Kelli-Ann, children Curtis, Barrington & Sherine, mothers of his children Jackie Good and Sandra Ellis, 5 nieces and 10 nephews, 1 grand-niece and 1 grand-nephew, and other family and friends.


Mikey is preceded in death by sons Michael and Garnet, sister Sandra Beckford and brother Anthony Manning.


Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, a celebration of life will be announced at a later date. We will not be holding a visitation due to social distancing. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Henry Walser funeral home.
