Obituary for Matti Christian Ingerman

Ingerman, Matti Christian

Passed away on April 19, 2022, following a brief illness. Born in Stockholm Sweden, on November 24, 1946 to Arnold and Salme Ingerman (predeceased). Matti arrived in Canada along with his parents and sister Mare, settling in Toronto in 1949. He attended Wellesley and Church Street Schools, Jesse Ketchum, and Jarvis Collegiate, graduating in 1965. After extensive travels in Europe, he settled into an Insurance IT career. Adventure called to him, as he tried a "Thoreau" year on the Bruce Peninsula. Matti was a passionate lover of motorcycles, renovating, excellent Scotch, books, British racing cars, and wearing of outstanding blue denim shirts.

Matti is survived by his dear partner in life Katy, his two adoring sons Erik (Lisa) and Pieter and his much loved grandchildren, Jillian and Salmae. He was a legendary uncle to Theodore (Brenda), Matthew (Charyl), Michael, Gene (Shalene), Garet (Natalie), Nicholas, Harrison and Kerri (Shane). Great-uncle to Lacey and Audrey, Saona and Taylum, Wesley, Patrick and Henrik. Matti is survived by his sisters Mare (Ihor), Rita (Gary), and Linda (Brian). He was one of a kind and will be greatly missed by all who have known him.
