Rogers, Mary-Jane:
Passed away peacefully at her home in Kitchener, on Friday August 23, 2019 at the age of 72. Predeceased by her parents Raleigh and Mabelle Hughes, sister Anne Bertram and brother Richard Hughes. Survived by her sister-in-law Eloise Hughes, niece Deb Saccoccia, husband Pete, Great nephews Mike and Doug, and Great, Great nephew Owen. A sincere thank you to her dear friends Pina Tenti, Pat Eckhardt, and Paula Roberts for all their care and support to Mary-Jane. Also thank you to the staff at Briarfield Retirement Home, Kitchener for the care given to Mary-Jane during her stay.
Mary-Jane worked at Sauder’s Men and Ladies wear store before attending Conestoga College to pursue her interest in computers.
Mary-Jane loved to travel, and had visited many European countries.
She loved photography and had an interest in history, especially the events during WWII. One of her favourite books was the Diary of Anne Frank. Mary-Jane was a true friend and an amazing listener.
Private Cremation has taken place and an urn interment at The Anglican Cemetery 396 Vansittart Ave, Woodstock, will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Kitchener Waterloo Humane Society or Make-A-Wish Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
