Obituary for Mary Edith Cormier
Cormier, Mary Edith (Nee Calcutta):
Passed away peacefully at her home on March 11, 2024 at the age of 91.
Mary was the beloved wife of Maurille Cormier (1991) and is now reunited with him. She will be dearly missed by her four children Charlene, David, Steven and Christopher (Elizabeth) Cormier. Mary was cherished by her grandchildren Lindsay, Leanne, Greg, Candice, Michelle, Darcy and Cassandra and was so proud to be a great-grandmother to five little ones. She leaves behind her sister Joan and sister-in-law Joyce. She was predeceased by her brother Jerry, and her brother-in-law Fred. Mary leaves behind many extended relatives and friends.
Mary was a generous, kindhearted person. She will be remembered as a woman who gave with a loving heart. Mary was a proud member of her local "Y" and was a member of the Waterloo County Quilter's Guild. She was very dedicated in her support of the shoebox program through Samaritan's Purse.
Mary's family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM with prayers at 7:30 PM on Friday, March 15, 2024 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony Daniel R.C. Church on March 16, 2024 at 10:00 AM. The burial of Mary's cremated remains will be held at Woodland Cemetery on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 11:00 AM.
