Burns, Mary Anne "Peachy":
Passed away peacefully on July 16, 2020 at Grand River Hospital at the age of 83 after a short illness.
Beloved wife of 56 years to the late Charles Burns (2019).
Loving mother of Catherine Burns (Gary Duguay) and Michael (Kathryn) Burns.
Cherished grandma of Jordan and Audrey.
Predeceased by her brothers James, Paul and Christopher Hogan.
Mary Anne remained in close contact with the St. Joseph's School of Nursing Alumnae and cherished the friendship of her fellow nurses.
Mary Anne's love extended to the many animals in her life - the pups Jack and Aspen; the kitties Brownie and Cinders; the hamster Gus. The peanuts she provided will be dearly missed by Alvin and Earl (squirrels, not elephants).
A private service will be held at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 519-749-8467. Extended family and friends are invited to join Mary Anne's celebration of life via live stream on Wednesday, July 29th, 2020 at 10am at https://www.henrywalser.com/live-streaming
Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery in Toronto July 30.
The family would like to thank the staff of the 6th floor at Grand River Hospital for their kindness and care during Mary Anne’s stay with them.
