Obituary for Mary Ann Snider (Baer)

Mary Ann Snider (Baer)
Snider, Mary Ann (Timlock) nee Baer:

Peacefully went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Lanark Heights Long Term Care at the age of 87. Dearly loved wife of Murray C. Snider for 12 years and of the late Gerald V. Timlock for 51 years. Cherished mother of Ruth Ann Elliott (Keith), Nancy Cressman (Stewart), David Timlock (Shawna), Sandra Sherk (Murray); step-mother of Mark Snider (Darlene) and David Snider (Heather). Beloved grandmother to 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by husband Gerald Timlock (Tim), infant daughter Brenda Timlock and grandson Victor Elliott. Sadly missed by siblings Margaret Lehman, Patricia Snyder, Nancy Webb (Paul), Roger Baer (Edith) and many nieces and nephews.

Mary Ann kept the ‘home fires’ burning as the children were growing up, was an avid gardener of fruits and vegetables and kept lovely tended flower gardens. She was known as a master pie-maker and, as hospitality was one of her gifts, she loved to welcome guests into her home. Mary Ann’s love of the Lord was evident in all aspects of her life and she actively participated in various facets of church life.

Mary Ann's family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. The funeral service to celebrate Mary Ann’s life will be held at Bethany Evangelical Missionary Church (160 Lancaster St. E., Kitchener) on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation prior from 10:00-10:45 a.m.

Her family would like to extend sincere thanks to the staff at Lanark Heights for their loving and compassionate care. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Evergreen Christian Ministries would be appreciated by the family.
