The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Mark Loewen can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Memories

Just a few things that I will remember about uncle Mark are his yummy BBQ meat, his love for his grandchildren and his relationship with God. I loved how Mark enjoyed cooking and I loved eating the food even more. He always spoke with such fondness for his grandchildren and this is so special. Mark's mind was so focused on his hope ahead to live forever in perfect health on a Paradise earth. I would like to imitate those beautiful qualities. While death is not natural and causes pain we can use this time to imitate Mark by reflecting on our own lives and take the opportunity to evaluate how we are using our life. I admire how Mark made adjustments to simplify so that he could focus on helping others, connecting more with his family and giving more time to spiritual things and he was a happier person for making those adjustments. While the pain of death may not completely be erased right now, reflecting on the hope Mark treasured we can find a measure of relief. We look forward to the fulfillment of the promise at Psalm 22:26 where we can be with Mark and, "enjoy life forever."
