Kissner, Marion (nee Weppler):
Passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at St. Mary's Hospital in Kitchener at the age of 98.
Loving mother of Gail Ireland (Rob) and David (Ann). Cherished grandmother of Lisa Grant (Jamie), Leah Kissner and great-grandmother of Ali and Katie.
Predeceased by sisters, Fern Kraemer (Jim) and Leola McNaughton (Gerry).
Marion was very musical, teaching piano students for decades well into her 90's. She also played music by ear to the delight of residents in several retirement homes as they sang along. Her artistic talents were displayed in her beautiful watercolours and china paintings. Faith and family were very important to Marion. She was a lifelong member of Historic St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Fern and Leola, her sisters were an important part of her life. Marion was a joy to be with, a shining light to all who knew her.
Marion's family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Visitation will continue from 9:30 - 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 followed by the memorial service at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Reception to follow.
