Obituary for Marie Doreen Madill

Madill, Marie Doreen (nee Palubeskie)
Sept. 4 1937-July 25 2022

Sweet Marie passed away Monday, July 25, 2022 at the age of 84 with her husband of 64 years, Bill Madill at her side.

Loving mother of Leslie Hutcheson, Kathy Madill (Jeff Passingham) and Greg Madill (Pamela).

Grandmother to Lindsay Hutcheson (Jeff Moser) Brandon Hutcheson (Heather Krick), Sarah Nickel (Pete), Genevieve Madill, Theodore Madill
Great-grandmother to Mackenzie, Spencer, Emily, Charlotte, Paisley and Savannah.

Marie was the 11th of 15 children born on a farm in Pembroke, Ontario to August and Veronica Palubeskie. 11 brothers and sisters welcomed Marie in heaven, 3 siblings remain to mourn her death, Agnes MacEnaney, Harold and John.

Marie married Bill Madill April 26, 1958 and built a life together with fun at the forefront. They spent winters in Forest Park, Florida. Bill took his vows seriously. Marie suffered with Alzheimer’s and cancer, yet he remained faithfully by her side, ensuring her comfort and happiness. She had no greater joy than Bill singing country music to her, dancing to Neil Diamond, eating ice cream and being surrounded by her family.

We will gather to celebrate Marie’s life and share her story. Her favourite colour was pink, and purple is the colour for Alzheimer’s awareness. To honour Marie, guests are asked to wear casual attire with a pink or purple theme.
