Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at the age of 37.
Beloved daughter of Maria and Nikola.
Loving sister of Michael (Marie) and Joanne (Alaa Qahwash).
Niece of John Sajkunovic (Cherie), Ankica Mihelic (Josip), Marica Muncic and great-niece of Helen Hersa. Aunt of Emily, Adam, Yakub and Layla.
She is survived by cousins and extended family in Canada and Croatia.
At the age of 2, Christina became ill with cerebral palsy. She enjoyed the love of her family, music and Disney movies.
Christina's family will receive relatives and friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, July 3, 2023 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St. Kitchener (519) 749-8467. Holy Rosary 7:30 p.m. Monday. Funeral Mass at Holy Family Croatian Church, 180 Schweitzer St. Kitchener, on Tuesday July 4, 2023 at 11 a.m. Interment Parkview Cemetery.
A big thank you to all of the doctors that provided Maria with care over the years, with special recognition to Dr Ivan Jagas, as well as the nurses that gave specialized care.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Ontario Federation for Cerebral Palsy would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
