Condolence: Maria was a very generous and kind women. I had the pleasure of working with her for many years at the Independant Living Center. She went above and beyond for the residents in her care. She would go to the farmers market on her own time so that they could have fresh produce and healthy meat to eat, not to mention how the residents benefited from her love to cook.
I very much enjoyed working with Maria and learned many things from her that I still utilize today. As a single mother I would often bring my daughter to work and Maria treated her like a grand daughter. Maria would help me sew girl guide patches on her uniform as well as hemming my daughters pants. She would sit patiently with Chloe for hours teaching her how to sew. We also benefited from her love of cooking as Maria would go out of her way to make some of Chloes favourite foods, rice pudding comes to mind. When we worked holidays together Maria would bring in full course meals with all the trimmings and set the table like it was Christmas dinner.
I hope the family finds peace knowing that her suffering is now over, and may their cherished memories live forever knowing what a beautiful, caring person she was .
God Bless
Belinda
