Passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, May 24, 2019 at the age of 82.
Beloved wife of Rudolf for 62 years. Loving mom to Oliver Briski, Helen (Joe Bilicic), and Julia Rickert (nee Briski).
Proud Grama of Mark, Kristina and Johanna Bilicic.
Dear sister to Jozi Ioannou, (Art), Toncka Korosec (the late Joze) of Slovenia.
Predeceased by Milan (Anica) Sopcic, Zvonko (the late Malka) Sopcic of Slovenia.
Maria will be missed by her extended family and many friends. Mom will be remembered for her love of gardening, baking, humour and the love for her family.
Maria's family will receive relatives and friends from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Monday, May 27, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 with Holy Rosary at 8:00 p.m.
Mass will be held at on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Croatian Church, 180 Schweitzer Street, Kitchener, Ontario with interment at Mount Hope Cemetery. Reception to follow at the funeral home.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the St. Mary's Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
