Avelar, Maria Lurdes:

Passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Friday, December 18, 2020 at the age of 95.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Julio Ferreira (2007) and much loved daughter-in-law Karen (2008).
Cherished mother of John (Alice) and Julius (Jen).
Maria will also be sadly missed by her dear sister Teresa and her many nieces and nephews, especially Maria Jose, Maria Eduarda, Virginia, Jesse, Ana, and Maria Antionette.
Predeceased by her sisters Conceicao, Gloria and Mariana.

Maria's family will receive relatives and friends from 5 - 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22nd, 2020 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23rd, 2020 at St. Mary of the Visitation Church, 16 Cooper St., Cambridge. Interment to follow at New Hope Cemetery. Those wishing to attend Maria's visitation and service must RSVP through the funeral home website or by calling 519-749-8467. Face masks are mandatory.
