Passed away peacefully on August 20, 2022 at Innisfree House in Kitchener, ON at the age of 49.
Devoted husband of Cheryl Hilker (nee Bruder).
Loving father of Owen and Mary.
Loving son to Wayne and Martha Hilker (Cressman).
Predeceased by his grandparents Theodore & Ruth Hilker, father-in-law Charlie Bruder and sister-in-law Linda Reiser.
Marc will be greatly missed by his aunts and uncles Greg & Ann Bronson, Dave & Charlotte Dolson, Elizabeth Cressman and Carolyn & Michael Weber, his cousins Heidi, Hayley, Derek & Jenal, his sister-in-law Joanne Pinkerton, brothers-in-law Jamie Pinkerton & Paul Reiser, his niece Ashley and his nephew Jake. He will also be missed by his many friends, co-workers, and the Voll and Chester families.
Marc’s family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, August 28 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Visitation will continue Monday, August 29 from 9:30 am to 10:15 am with a memorial service at 10:30 in the chapel. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Grand River Hospital Foundation-Cancer Centre or Lisaard & Innisfree Hospice would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
