1933 - 2019

It is with great sadness that the Vrkic family announces the peaceful passing of Luka on November 15, 2019 at his home with family by his side.

Loved always by his wife Jagoda and son Davor. Survived by his sisters Anka, Mara and many nieces and nephews from Croatia. Predeceased by his brothers Ante and Ciro and sister Mila.

Luka came to Canada in 1958. He was a hard worker all his life. He worked for Dare Cookies and was a crossing guard for the city.

"It broke our hearts to lose you but you did not go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home."

Luka touched many peoples' lives and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Luka's famiy will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home 507 Frederick St., Kitchener (519-749-8467). Holy Rosary will be said at 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Holy Family Croatian Church, 180 Schweitzer St. Kitchener, at 10:00 a.m. with interment at Woodland Cemetery 119 Arlington Blvd. Kitchener. Reception to follow at the Croatian Club 2006 Shantz Station Rd., Breslau N0B 1M0.

As expressions of sympathy donations to the Holy Family Croatian Church would be appreciated by the family.
