Baker, Lucy:
Passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 24, 2023 at her home at the age of 98.
Lucy was a loving mother of Donna Lang (late Nick), Marian Abelson (Barry), Gerald Baker (Marjorie McOuat) and Beverly Drury (Marc). Cherished grandma of Jason Schill (Nicki), Ainslee David (Josh), Hailee Crump (Mike) and Devin Drury and step-grandma to Lisa Lang and Nick Lang (Jade). Great-grandma of Micayla Crump, Rylee Crump, Paityn Crump and Eleanor David. Dear sister of Mabel Finch, Irene Runstedler, Leonard Sherrer (Cathy), Richard Sherrer and Jerome Sherrer and their families. Lucy will be missed by her dear friend, Annie Tomlinson.
Lucy loved life; she soaked up every moment, relishing in her relationships and life experiences. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a faithful Catholic and was proud to have been a member of the Catholic Women's League for 50 years.
Lucy's family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Friday, March 3rd, 2023 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Teresa's R.C. Church on Saturday, March 4th, 2023 at 11:00 AM with interment at Parkview and reception to follow in the church hall.
