Obituary for Lorraine Ruth Cober

Cober, Lorraine Ruth:

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Toronto General Hospital following a courageous battle with several health issues. Lorraine was born in November 1956 and is survived by her parents, Edward and Kathaleen (Milne) of Kitchener, and her brothers and sisters-in-law, Keith, Beverley, Karl and Cynthia. Also survived by her nephews and nieces, Ben (Alesha), Daniel, Alyssa (Christopher) Mills and Matthew and by her great nephews, Tyson, Karsten, Carter, Reid, Levi and Wyatt. A graduate of Conestoga, Lorraine worked as a registered nurse for two years in Fort ALbany and then for many years at Toronto Western Hospital. Lorraine retired in 2011. Lorraine brought her own unique combination of joy and spontaneity to life. She enjoyed growing flowers and vegetables, artwork and visiting friends and relatives. Lorraine worshiped regularly with the Grace Mennonite Brethren Church of Kitchener. Lorraine's family thanks the medical team at the University Health Network for their exceptional efforts and compassionate care.

Lorraine's family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, May 17, 2021 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A private funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment at Rosebank Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the visitation must RSVP through the funeral home website or by calling (519) 749-8467.
