Cuturic, Ljubica "Lucy" (nee Suton):
Lucy rejoined her beloved husband Josip "Joe, who passed away December 30, 1999.
Lucy was born in Prnjavor, Bosnia and Herzegovina on February 6, 1932. Lucy was the second oldest child in her family of nine siblings. Predeceased by her parents Maria and Blago Suton, two brothers and two sisters.
Lucy left her homeland in 1956. She lived in Germany and there she married her husband Joe. Lucy and Joe immigrated to Canada in 1960. She was employed by the Region of Waterloo with the Health and Social Services Division at Sunnyside Home as a Supervisor of Housekeeping Services until her retirement in 1992.
Lucy and Joe, with their vision and courage, created the path and left a trail that was followed by many family members, friends, and colleagues. They worked hard and enjoyed a prosperous life in this great community of Kitchener and Waterloo. Lucy was blessed with good health, a long life and extensive traveling to many places around the world.
Lucy is survived by three sisters, one brother and her many nieces and nephews.
Visitation and reception for Lucy will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St. Kitchener, 519-749-8467.
Private interment in Woodland Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.
