Carter, Leonard Allen
Passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at Hospice Waterloo at the age of 75.
Beloved husband of Denise for 32 years.
Loving father of Daryl Carter (Anita), Chantal Williams (Chris), Josh Ellis, Heather Wilson (Ashley), Scott Carter (Shannon), Keith Carter (Laura).
Grandfather of Hayley-Ann, Colton, Autumn Rayne; Jack, Emma, Charlie, Tommy, Rylan, Abby; Brooklynn, Brodie; Carter and Case; Audrey, Isla: Blakely and Bennett.
Len was a family man and especially adored his grandchildren. He retired from CBC after over 30 years service. He was very passionate about social and labour activisim and was a very staunch member of the N.D.P. When he was diagnosed with Dementia he became an advocate for Dementia related causes.
Len's family will receive relatives and friends from 1:30 - 3:15 pm on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener 519-749-8467.
The memorial service will take place at 3:30 pm on Saturday followed by a reception.
In Leonard's memory, donations to Alzheimer Society of Waterloo Wellington, Langs Health Centre, and Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home 519-749-8467).
