Scott, Leela Jane:

It is with heavy hearts the family of Leela Scott announces her passing in Toronto, ON, on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at the age of 26. Much loved daughter of Russell Scott and Linda Baer. Dear sister of Jesse Baer-Hennig, Jon Scott and cherished aunt of Jack, Ayla, and Lilly. She will be fondly remembered by many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was known for her kind, compassionate and sensitive nature. She cared deeply for the under-privileged and marginalized in our society and was an active volunteer in many social justice, anti-poverty and gender equality organizations. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held at Grand River Unitarian Congregation, 299 Sydney St. S., Kitchener, ON on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. Private cremation has taken place.
