Our hearts are broken and our lives forever altered, as we must say goodbye to our darling, Leanne.
Her life was cut short and we will carry the impact of her presence with us, always.
Leanne was born in Kitchener on July 3, 1996 to Adam Cherri and the late Pearl Jones-Merasty.
She leaves with us her beautiful children, Ellis Elizabeth and Domenic Matthew.
She is survived by her brothers, Soul, Randy, Aiden and sister Aiasha Merasty and her sister/cousin Chante Jones.
Also left to mourn Leanne are her Great Grandmothers; Marlene Jones and Doris Cobb Sr. ; Grandparents; Doris Cobb Jr., Frank Cherri Sr. (Jennifer) and Jim Jones; uncles: Frank Cherri Jr., Jason Cherri, Matthew Cherri; Aunt Rose Cherri. Predeceased by Aunt Roseanna Jones-Merasty. Survived by Great uncles Alan Jones and Brian Jones, John Cobb, George Cobb (Patricia), Mel Cobb (Sue), Ken Cobb (Linda), Bill Cobb (Christine), Bob Cobb, Rev Nick Cherri (Theresa); Great Aunts; Diane Jones, Peggy Clinton (John), Wendy Nemeth, and Lori Jones(Alfonso), Lillian Meyer, Elizabeth Beke, Athelie Markle (Larry), Ruth Cobb (Vicky). There are many cousins greatly saddened by her death,
Leanne was proud of her indigenous heritage. In recent years she made contact with Merasty relatives in Toronto, Manitoba and British Columbia.
Cremation has taken place.
Leanne will be resting at Henry Walser Funeral Home, Kitchener. Visitation begins at 1:30 pm and service at 3:00 pm, on Wednesday March 31, 2021. Please follow the guide lines set by the funeral home listed below.
