Leah DeMerchant
DeMerchant, Leah:

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful and devoted mother Leah who has gone up to join the love of her life, her soulmate, Leroy Anthony Bartley (2013) in heaven, at the age of 51.

Leah will always be remembered by her 4 children and 10 grandchildren, who brought forth the brightest light in her life.
Her eldest daughter Christina Thompson (Ron), who blessed Leah with 3 grandchildren - Charleah, Troy and Ivan.
Daughter Melissa Thompson (Carlo), who gifted Leah with 4 grandsons - Austin, Raymond, Zyler and her little angel in heaven, Cayden.
Her youngest daughter Alisha DeMerchant (Josh) who gave Leah a beautiful granddaughter - Ariana and in a few short months will bring into the world Leah's tenth grandchild - Elijah.
Leah's only son Ryan DeMerchant who fathered a beautiful daughter - Jayla.
Leah will be forever missed by her 2 beloved companion dogs Jackson & Dexter, who kept Leah's spirits high and her heart warm through her loneliest days.

Leah was born in Woodstock, New Brunswick to her loving parents Malcolm DeMerchant and Patricia Boone (Harlem). Dearest sister of Andrew (Corey) and Michael DeMerchant (Wendy). Leah is survived by her 6 nieces and her nephew.
Leah will be fondly remembered by all who's lives she touched with her compassionate, empathetic and kind nature. Her family have found solace in knowing their mother and father are together in heaven, soaring over the worlds many oceans in hopes that Leah will be able to see the whales, swim with the dolphins and maybe even meet a unicorn or two.

Leah's family will receive relatives and friends from 12:30 p.m. - 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467.
A Funeral Service to celebrate Leah's life will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel, immediately following the visitation. Reception to follow.
