Kenneth Enoch Witmer
March 8, 1935 – November 2, 2020
It is with sadness we announce our Dad passed peacefully at Grand River Hospital ICU at the age of 85. Ken will be remembered by Nancy Paetz. Children Paul Witmer, Allan Witmer (Debbie), Greg Witmer (Barb), and Tim Witmer (Mary). Predeceased by his beloved daughter Jackie Witmer-Hiemstra. Grandchildren Sean Norman, Matt Norman (Courtney), Sarah Witmer, Emma Witmer, Dylan Witmer, Kayla Witmer, Nathan Witmer (Marci), Jason Witmer (Karmen), Jennifer Morrison (Trevor), Ashley Graham-Schilroth (pre-deceased) and Rebecca MacDonald (Darren), Joel Witmer (Asha), Jeff Witmer and 14 Great Grandchildren. Ken is survived by siblings Ruth and Edward (pre-deceased) Schiedel, Eileen (pre-deceased) and Elmer Shantz and Dave and Rose Witmer.
Ken worked 44 years for J.M. Schneiders and drove school bus for Shantz Coach Line.
Pop’s enjoyed Golfing, Bowling, Horseshoes, Gardening, watching Sports (Baseball & Hockey) and Playing Nintendo with Brother-in-law Phil. Thank you to all the doctors and Nurses at Grand River Hospital ICU for all your compassionate care of Ken and our Family.
Ken's family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Relatives and friends must RSVP below to attend the visitation and please wear a face mask.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Grand River Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
