Snider, Kenneth Maurice
Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving girls on Monday, August 12, 2019 at the age of 81. Beloved and devoted husband of Patricia (nee Reid) for 60 years. Adoring father of Kerry White (Ben), Kathy Reynolds (Darrin) and Leanne Hergott (Paul). Proud Papa of Adam, Jessica (Jason), David, Karyn, and great-grandfather of Kaylee. Predeceased by his precious granddaughters in heaven Sarah Hergott (2009) and Jacqueline (Moore) Stevanus (2016). Step-grandfather of Casey, Tabatha and great-grandfather of Mathew, Georgia and Owen. Beloved son of the late Harold and Marguerite Snider. Dear brother of Frances Starr (Wayne) and the late Neil Snider. Brother-in-law of John Reid, Judith Orser (Brian), Robert Reid (late Susan - 2019), Sally Wilhelm (Jim), Joanne Reid and the late Dennis Reid and Bill Reid. Loved by many nieces and nephews. Ken was a devoted member of Bloomingdale United Church, owner/operator of Ken Snider Electric, and actively played in the North Waterloo Rural Softball League for many years. Ken and Pat enjoyed retirement years at their cottage on the Severn River.
Ken's family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral Service in the chapel on Friday, August 16, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. Reception to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Bloomingdale United Church would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
