Obituary

Matchett, Ken:

Passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at the age of 68.

Beloved husband of Sigrid (nee Osbelt) for 32 years.
Loving father of the late Jonathan (2012), Kyle (Candice), Tricia (Brock) and Ryan.
Cherished “Pops” to Kasey and Cameron.
Dear brother of Roy (Mary), Brother-in-law of Greg (Kathy)(Denise), and Nicole (Steve).
Son of Ken and Barbara Matchett (deceased), and Son-in-law of Nick and Else Osbelt.
Will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

Dear Kenny.

You have been in my heart and on my mind this past week. Such wonderful memories of dancing to your music, animated conversations at the pavilion, campfires and Oktoberfest. So glad that many of these memories have been captured in our hearts and in print. Never one to hedge your words, come in with a hug and oh that SMILE !! Your son and grandson have that smile.... and your family and friends have you in their heart. Sending love and hugs to you in heaven, and to Sig', Kyle, Tricia, Ryan, the grand's and to your extended family and family of friends. Your extraordinary spirit will shine on.... I have no doubt.

Dearest Sigrid & entire Matchett/ Osbelt Families. From the first moment I met Ken's warm and lighthearted charm, his calm throughout high stress Schropp family ping pong matches as his "right hand ping pong partner" and watching him as a wonderful musical and life partner to my dear cousin Sigrid, I know that Ken is just waiting for us all on the other side! Sending a big hug and lots of love from Christina and the London Wedermann gang.

How does one say goodbye to such a kind person? His huge smiling face, that greeted everyone. The teasing that everyone looked forward to, done only to make you smile. It was not hard to love Ken and it is so hard to put into words how much his loss has impacted our whole Poser Transport family. Not only our drivers but the stores he delivered too, everyone has been touched by his kindness.
We will all miss you and your great big smile Ken, more than you know!
Sending our Love and condolences to Sigrid, Kyle, Tricia & Ryan.
Hugs,
Rick, Pamela & Tara Poser
