Condolence: To the Morris family, Catherine and the Evenden family, and all who love Karen: I'm sorry for your loss, which I share. I rejoice in the hope of seeing her again, happy and whole. She has been a blessing to me since we were teens working at Jackson's Point camp. Kind, funny, unselfish, sensitive to others' pain despite her own ... I miss her already!

Condolence: Hello dear ones. I'm so sad to hear of Karen's passing and my heart hurts for each you, her family. It's been years since we last connected but as I get older I realize, more and more, that loving connections never pass away. I think that's because when you genuinely love and care for people, the love you share becomes part of each others very being or psyche. As a result, we're continually expanding the very idea of love and therefor better understanding how we can love others. I say this because what I most remember about each of you—her family—is how genuine and loving you are towards others. It takes grace and courage to love like that, and Karen had that in spades. My point, I suppose, is to say that while you grieve I hope you can take comfort in how she loved you and others, and how the love she shared continues, and will forever continue, to grow. I'm so grateful for having had the privilege of her friendship, however long ago, because it changed me for the better. My deepest condolences. Love Dale. xxoo

Condolence: I knew Karen as a student early in my career as a faculty member in social work at Laurier. I remember her very well as an engaging and very courageous young woman. She inspired me more than I could hope that I did her. She was one of those students that you do not forget.

Condolence: May God grant you peace and comfort during these days. Karen was a loving young lady when we knew her during our time in Waterloo in the 80's. Her faith, strength and grace in God's goodness was evident and a witness to all.

Condolence: While we are all saddened by this loss, we can rejoice with Karen. She will have a "new body" and will be dancing and praising the Lord with all the Saints in Heaven!

To the Morris family, we are so sorry for your loss.

To Catherine, words cannot describe the depth of loss you must be feeling. For 38 years, you gave your very best to provide Karen with a full life. As a devoted care-giver and friend, you provided Karen with a quality of life that would not otherwise have been possible.

Ruth and I are among the very many people who have been blessed by Karen's friendly smile, kindness, gentle spirit, and Christian counsel. In our friendship of forty years, the list of ways that Karen has encouraged, motivated, supported and guided us, is a very long list indeed.
