Obituary for June Lumchick

June Margaret Lumchick
Born: June 8, 1931

~Together Again~

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dearest matriarch June Lumchick (nee: Probert). In her 92nd year, June quietly passed surrounded by cherished memories of her full life which was filled with love and joy. June's last word to her beloved daughters was "Love you".

June and her husband James "Jim" were married for 43 years, before he passed in 1997. Together they were loving parents to daughters Barbara Bezeau (late Cliff Bezeau) and Sharon Giesler (Ron Giesler).
They were exceptional grandparents to five wonderful grandchildren; Marion (Philip O'Sullivan), Gayle (Eric Seguin), Craig (Angela Hodge), Sarah (Chris Tauvette), and Colin Bezeau. Additionally, June had never-ending love and support for her four great-grandchildren; Aurora-Skye O'Sullivan, Isaac Seguin, Holden, and Adley Tauvette.

Born in England, in 1931, June lived through the "Blitz" during the Second World War and was part of "Operation Pied Piper" where British children were moved to the safety of the countryside and abroad to avoid the constant bombing. Country life didn't suit her older sister (the late Edie Stammers) so Edie made her way back to London to be with her mother. June remained with her brother (the late Peter Probert) in the countryside, until after the Battle of Britain was won. June has nieces and nephews who still reside in England. Following the war June emigrated to Canada in 1951, meeting Jim in 1952 in the Kauffman Footwear Factory. After a whirlwind courtship June and Jim were married in 1953. In 1954 they welcomed their first daughter Barbara and Sharon followed in 1956. The memories they created with all of our family will sustain us through this last goodbye and form the foundation that the next generations of our families are built on.

Barb and Sharon extend out deepest and heart-felt thanks to the staff of Barnswallow Long Term Care Nursing Home for their untiring and loving daily care of our mother.

June and Jim are once again together, sharing a laugh, a dance, and even a sunny Hawaiian vacation.

Until we meet again, farewell.
We love you, now and forever.
