Obituary for Judy Marie Wilhelm

Wilhelm, Judy (nee Kraemer):

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our sister Judy, on July 5, 2022, at the age of 58 as a result of kidney failure. Beloved sister of Debra MacPherson (Dale), Venetta Witt (Brian), Sherry Kraemer and Tracy Shewfelt (Darren). Loving Aunt of Tim MacPherson, Dana MacPherson, Christopher Witt (Erin), Carrie Koebel (Ryan), Amber Moffat (Mike) and Logan Shewfelt. Great Aunt of Braelyn and Kara, Tiana and Troy, Rachel, Reese, Hilary and Cali, and Kingston. Predeceased and reunited with her parents Lloyd and Rosemary Kraemer (nee Esbaugh) and her sister Maria (in infancy). She will be missed by life long friend, Chris Bester and cousins Jane Beaupre, Lori Karn and Bev Reid. Special thanks to them for their ongoing love, support and friendship throughout Judy's journey.

Judy enjoyed playing cards, bingo, the casino and spending time with family and friends. When she was well, she liked making stuffed peppers and cabbage rolls and sharing them with those she loved. Judy was a two-time organ recipient and battled complications from Diabetes, which she was diagnosed with at the age of 13. Her strong will and tenacity allowed her to see her 58th birthday, which she celebrated at Hospice of Waterloo Region surrounded by those she loved. Judy’s wish was for everyone to sign their donor card as her favourite saying was “Please don’t take your organs to Heaven, Heaven knows we need them here.”

A most sincere thank you to Doctors G. Rosenstein, J. Pope, M. Pope and A. Cy for their ongoing patience and medical expertise throughout Judy's life. We would also like to extend our deepest gratitude for the exceptional care and compassion provided to Judy and her family during her stay at Hospice of Waterloo Region.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Diabetes Canada or Hospice of Waterloo Region are appreciated. (Cards available at the funeral home).

Judy's family will receive friends and family on Thursday July 14th, 2022 from 11:30 am -12:45pm at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A Celebration of Judy’s life will then be held at the Chapel at 1:00pm, with a reception to follow.

Wearing of masks/face shields is mandatory.

Judy; we're not saying goodbye, just so long for now, until we meet again…
