Obituary

Judith M. Easter (Wallace)

Judith Easter (née Wallace) passed away on October 7 , 2020 at the age of 84 with her loved ones by her side. She was one of 12 children born to William and Mae Wallace of London, ON.

She is predeceased by her husband, Jim, and her siblings Pauline Males (Fred), Margaret Coll, Carole Mazzi (Tony), Eon Wallace, Tommy Wallace, Charmaine Hall (Brian), Beverley Wallace, and her beloved sister, Donna Smith (Paul).

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Heather Dayman (Drew), son Matthew Easter, grandsons Marc, Luke, and Sam Easter, step-grandchildren Matthew DiTomaso (Emie) and Jordan McGee, brothers Bill (Rose), Vernon (Brenda), and Meredith Wallace, best friend Myrna Stegweit (Paul), and numerous other nieces, nephews, and friends.

Special thanks to the excellent care provided by the Waterloo Wellington LHIN, ParaMed Home Health Care and the palliative team.

Judith was a long-time employee of Queensway General Hospital as the Supervisor, Patient Registration. She was active in Mississauga’s Sheridan Park neighborhood, and a regular volunteer at her children’s sporting and school events. An adopted member of the LPGA Amateurs Waterloo Chapter, she enjoyed accompanying the ladies to golf competitions throughout North America.

Judith touched many people with her willingness to lend a hand at a moment’s notice. Throughout her life, she happily assumed the role of caregiver extraordinaire to younger and older members of her immediate and extended family. She was unpretentious, thoughtful, caring, a Bon Jovi-lover, a Disney enthusiast, and a wonderful companion whether going out for dinner, to a movie, shopping, or travelling.

Cremation has already taken place, and interment will be at a later date at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in London. A visitation will be held on October 17, 2020 from 3 to 5 pm at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener (519) 749-8467. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks are mandatory and attendance is by RSVP to judithsmemorial@gmail.com.
