When you see a memorial like this, there is always a common theme at the center. There is always a date/year of birth, followed by a dash, followed by a date/year of death prominently displayed. When you consider the incredible impact our mother has had on others, and what she has accomplished throughout her life in the service of others, you begin to realize what matters in the limited time that we all have. You realize that it is not the dates that matter. What matters is the Dash.
