Hensel, Josef:
Passed away peacefully with family by his side on May 27, 2022 at Sunnyside Home at the age of 83. Josef was a loving husband to his bride, Kriemhilde Hensel for almost sixty years and was the wonderful father to his children, Elke Hensel-Williams (Ray Williams) and Uwe (Renate) Hensel. Josef was the cherished Opa to his five grandchildren, Leah, Lukas, Lise (Ben), Pascal and Jana. He is survived by his brother, Anton (Mariora) Hensel and nieces and nephews in Germany and Romania.
Josef and his wife immigrated to Canada in 1983. Josef was a long time member of Transylvania Club and choir and was a faithful member of the Martin Luther Church.
Josef's family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Monday, May 30th, 2022 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Josef's funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on May 31, 2022 at 1:00 PM officiated by Pastor Bernhard Ebert, with a light reception to follow. Interment at Williamsburg Cemetery. Guests who are unable to attend the service on Tuesday are invited to join the family via live-stream at 1:00 PM at www.henrywalser.com/live-streaming.
