BAYER, Josef
Josef passed away peacefully at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Thursday, May 30, 2019, after a long courageous battle with Lewy-Body Dementia and Parkinson's Disease at the age 85.
Beloved Husband of Helga, the love of his life, for almost 62 years, loving and devoted Dad of Anton (Ursula) and Marina, cherished Opa of Laura (Devin) and Emilie (Sam). Predeceased by parents, Anton and Ottilia. Predeceased by sister-in-law, Irene Rempel (Henry) and brother-in-law, Ronald Weinmann (Sarah). Survived by brother-in-law, Rick Weinman (Kaye) and many nieces and nephews.
Josef was a hardworking, dedicated employee of Uniroyal for 34 years. The family would like to express sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses at Grand River and Freeport Hospitals for their care and compassion in Josef's final days. Special thanks to staff from LHIN and Paramed. To honour Josef's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
