Passed away on March 6, 2023 at Freeport Hospital in his 92nd year.
Husband of Adelina Garcia (Nee Romano) for 67 years.
Father of Ilidio (Ines), Olga (Leonardo), Serge (Kim), Frank (Elisabete), Isolda, Tony (Elia) and father-in-law to Valerie.
Grandfather of Elisabeth (Ralph), Steve (Carley), Debbie, Nelson, Paul (Lyndsay), Mark (Misti), Brittany (Eric), Michael (Carolina), Elton, Amanda, Jessica, Monica, Matthew, Eddie, Anthony and Marlene and great-grandfather of seven.
Brother of Antonio (Fernanda), Maria Onoria and brother-in-law of Teresa.
Jose is predeceased by his children Helio and Linda, siblings Manuel, Maria Odilia, Maria Olivia, Armando, Jorge and his parents Joana and Manuel.
Jose's family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM with the Rosary at 7:30 PM on Sunday, March 12th, 2023 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 13, 2023 at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church with interment at Williamsburg Cemetery to follow. Reception at Portuguese Club.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Diabetes Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
