Da Rocha, Jose Manuel; Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, June 1, 2006 at St. Mary’s General Hospital in his 71st year.
Beloved husband of Aurea Da Rocha for 44 years. Loving father of Gloria Vieira and her husband Jose of Kitchener, Isaura Pereira and her husband Filipe of Toronto, Maria Sousa and her husband Jose of Kitchener and Paula Neves of Toronto. Grandfather of Tania, Vanessa and Joshua Vieira, Bryan Ferreira, Filipe and Noah Pereira, Cassandra, Tyler and Christopher Sousa, Breanne and Kira Neves. Survived by his brother Joao Rocha and his wife Maria and by his sister Alda Sousa and her husband Jose. Jose will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews.
The Da Rocha family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home (507 Frederick St. Kit. 749-8467) on Saturday, June 3 and Sunday June 4 from 2-4 and 7-9p.m. Parish prayers will be offered in the funeral home chapel on Sunday, June 4 at 3:30p.m. Prayers will be offered in the funeral home chapel on Monday, June 5 at 9:45a.m. followed by procession to St. John’s Roman Catholic Church (85 Strange St. Kit.) for funeral mass at 10:30a.m. Father Jim Boudreau officiating.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
