Passed away peacefully at Forest Heights Long Term Care, Kitchener, with family by his side, on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of the late Maria da Graca Cidade. Loving father of Grace (Domingos), the late Joe (Alice), Helen (Abby), Danny (Anna), and Dennis (Ross). Much loved grandpa to Amy, Matthew, Adam, Mark, David, and Robert, and great grandpa to Lillianna, Hunter, Kylie, Leandro, Sofia, and Migual. Dear brother of Dinis (Lucia), and Joao (Luisa) and the late Manuel. He will be fondly remembered by his extended family, many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the nurses and psw's at Forest Heights 3rd floor Gibbon House for all the care they provided Jose.
Jose's family will receive relatives and friends from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Prayers Tuesday 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church, 305 Laurentian Dr., Kitchener, on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Williamsburg Cemetery, Kitchener.
