Passed away unexpectedly at Lanark Heights Long Term Care on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of the late Anneliese (2008). Loving father of Ruth and her husband Andre Rajna, and Rudy and his wife Valerie. Cherished "Otta" of Michael (Olga), Alex (Kaleigh) and Nicholas. Dear brother of Fred Burghardt (Beth) and Ruth Weidner (Irwin) and brother-in-law of Peter Spuhler (Hilde). Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and their families. Hans and Anneliese met and married in Hatzfeld, Romania in 1962. They came to Canada in 1968 to start a new life for them and their young family. Hans enjoyed spending time with family. His grandchildren were his greatest pride and joy. He retired from Kraus Carpets on his 65th birthday, after over 30 years of service. The family would like to thank the staff at Lanark Heights LTC for their compassionate care. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home (519) 749-8467.
