Obituary for Jeannette Radatus

Radatus, Jeannette (née Janina Łucja Melania Kristina Tabaczyńska):

Passed away peacefully on the evening of March 25, 2021 at St. Mary's Hospital at the age of 92.

Beloved daughter of and predeceased by Jan Tabaczyński (1993), Lucja Tabaczyńska (Ciesielska) (1989), and Irena Ciećwierz (2019).
Beloved wife of the late Harry Radatus (2006).
Cherished mother to: André, Annette, George, John, Maria (Jeremy Smith).
Loving Babcia and Grandma to: Michael (Jacquelyn), Vanessa (Taylor), Yvana, Paula, Natalie, Liam, Jade, Nicola and Owen.
She is survived by her sister-in-law Eveline Ozols and her brother-in-law Bruno Radatus and his wife "Tere."
Loving aunt to: Roman, Steve, Elizabeth; Dina, and the late Melita (2020).

Jeannette, her sister Irene, and mother Lucy were part of the April 13, 1940 Second Soviet Mass Deportation where over 31,300 Poles were forcibly deported from Lvóv, Poland (now Lvív, Ukraine) to Kazakhstan and other regions. The Polish diaspora which formed her youth took her then to Tehran, Iran; Panchgani, India; Cairo, Egypt; Cambridge, England; Montreal, Québec; then Alexandria, Sheffield, and settling in Kitchener and Waterloo, Ontario.

Private cremation has taken place.

A Memorial Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 66 Shanley St, Kitchener, Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 11AM. Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery, Kitchener to follow.
