Parent, Jacqueline Anne (Jacqui) nee: Lucier:
Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Freeport Hospital in Kitchener, one day shy of her 84th birthday. Beloved wife of Erwin for 61 years. Proud and loving mother to Richard (Danièle Bouret), Mike (Anne Karidas) and Fr. Larry Parent. Cherished Grandma to Mathieu, Rosalie (Sébastien), Virginia (Claude-Olivier), Olivier and Melissa. Fondly remembered by brother-in-law, Leonard, sister-in-law, Veronica (Marvin), nieces, nephews as well as members of the Lucier, Aubin and St. Louis families. Predeceased by parents, Oscar and Melvina (Chevalier).
Jacqui valued Faith, Family, Friends and Community Service, and certainly traveling everywhere. Her profound faith overflowed to her husband and sons, St-Anne’s parish, Birthright, St-Mary’s volunteers, countless charities, and spontaneous aid to strangers. The living room walls of our home still resound with dinner-party laughter. She will be remembered in France (Fatima, Lourdes, Jerusalem and dozens of other towns), Russia, Germany and countless other countries.
Jacqui's family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 19, 2021 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Memorial Mass to be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church celebrated by Fr. Larry Parent. Private interment at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener.
