Passed away peacefully at Sunnyside Home on Monday, August 26, 2019 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of Ljuba for 71 years. Loving father of Ana Horvat (Nick) and Slavica Sestric (Janko). Proud grandfather of Greg Horvat (Marsha), Zdenka Jones (Scott), Dennis Sestric (Lisa), David Sestric (Stacey) and 8 great-grandchildren.
Ivan's family will receive relatives and friends from 5-9 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Holy Rosary 8 p.m. Wednesday. Prayers will also be offered at the funeral home on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 9:20 a.m. followed by a procession to Holy Family Croatian Church, 180 Schweitzer Street, Kitchener, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment Woodland Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Sunnyside Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home). Visit www.henrywalser.com for Ivan's memorial.
