It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Ilda Melo, at the age of 88, on November 10, 2020. She was surrounded by her 7 children, who are her absolute joy.
She joins her adored husband Manuel (deceased October 13,1990). Much loved Mother of Neli (Armando), Joe (Ilda), Connie (Manuel), Virginia (Washington), Natalie (Dino), Humberto (Jacqui), Peter (Bonnie).
Loving Avó to Richard (Sonia), Shaun (Phanida), Rui (Raluca), John (Kim), Nuno, Marc (Lili), Amanda (Andrew,) Kieran, Matthew (Jessica), Domenic (Jenny), Kyle, Samantha (Chase), Seth, Alana, Curtis, Chazz, Accastia.
Proud Visa Avó to Brynnen, Melina, Ryland, Charlotte, Arabella, Jaxon, Paul, Aiden, Ivy, Zion, Kingsley.
She will always be remembered for her giving nature, pure heart and above all else, her true love for family.
A rock to the Melo family, her spirit will forever live on in the many hearts of those she touched.

Ilda's family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Relatives and friends must RSVP through the funeral home website to attend visitation and please wear a face mask. Due to the coronavirus, a private family Mass of Resurrection will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020 at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 148 Madison Ave S, Kitchener at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends may join Ilda's service via live stream at https://www.henrywalser.com/live-streaming. Private interment at Woodland Cemetery.
